We have made a staircase to connect two overlapping apartments that were not designed as a single housing unit. We chose to create an element with a strong visual impact that would give a clear identity to the entire house, with materials such as iron and wood to connect nature’s plant and mineral kingdoms.

The structure of the staircase, as it only has one wall hook, forced the designer to find a balance between design and engineering rigour, so as to preserve both its aesthetic impact and its safety and stability.
